Preparing Your Pet for Air Travel
Today, you can happily take your beloved animal friend with you on your holiday. Most airlines already accept pets on board so you can fly with your furry pal to your vacation destination. However, before you pack the suitcase of your buddy, make sure that you prepare the necessary requirements for an aeroplane trip.
One of the first things you have to do is to look for an airline company that accepts domesticated animals in the passenger cabin or in the cargo area. Also, ask what their rules are regarding travel with pets before you purchase your tickets.
Second, make sure that your animal best friend is healthy before the trip by taking him to the veterinarian. During the visit, do not forget to ask for a certificate indicating that he is in good health.
Third, prepare a pet carrier that will give your beloved companion enough room to comfortably stand and sit. It also has to be leak-proof, and has to conform to the size requirements of the airline.
Lastly, if you are travelling internationally, you can ask the consulate of your destination about the rules for taking your cat or dog on a holiday with you.
