It is now our last day, the sun is shining, the pool warm, we have had a great lunch – don’t want to go home. Thank you for sharing your lovely home we couldn’t have asked for anything better."

"We enjoyed very much our holiday in Trullo Olivia. We know Italy rather well but this part was a real discovery. We visited a lot of beautiful places with very helpful people and very few tourists; the beach at Lido San Stefano is beautiful. The trullo is a great home with everything you could want."

"We have had a great family holiday here at Trullo Olivia. Pretty, peaceful, private and located in a wonderful area. The trullo is very well appointed especially for cooks. We enjoyed eating lovely Italian food in as well as out. The children had a fabulous time playing in the pool after days out visiting all the local towns. All in all a great holiday. Many thanks to Jan & Bob and the team of people who look after Trullo Olivia."

Preparing for Your Italian Holiday

Most people dream of travelling to Italy. Judging from its numerous historical places and other tourist attractions, it is a perfect place for a holiday. Not to mention, it is where you will find the Vatican City and other old structures that have withstand the test of time. If you have a chance to visit, you should take time to plan and prepare ahead. You would not want any unforeseen incident to ruin your trip, right?

  • Do make sure that your travel documents such as passport and insurance are valid. If you do not have the papers yet, then work on them at least three to four months before your scheduled departure.
  • Be aware of custom and vet rules. You can contact the airline you will be travelling with for information regarding your luggage or when flying with pets. You will be allowed to bring up to five furry companions as long as they have been vaccinated and microchipped. Remember to bring designated health certificates to present to airport security.
  • Make room reservations earlier. This will give you enough time to choose the most suitable accommodation for you and your companions, if there are any. For a change, you can book a trullo and experience a different way of living. If you are visiting Puglia, then you should stay in one. Remember to re-confirm your reservation at least two weeks before your arrival to avoid any lodging issues.
  • Do pack light and bring only what is essential for your trip. Bring casual outfits suitable for sightseeing and day tours and a suit for formal engagements. You should have enough money as well for all your travel expenses.
